You can buy a car with adaptive cruise control,  lane departure warning and collision detection – today ! Another car recognizes traffic signs.  A driver will be required for a while but eventually we begin to trust the automation.

Fallacy. It is just political cost to fight against well-funded Green lobby.

On a planet with abundant energy there is no need to save on energy. I would rather save on housing and subsidies.

Robotic cars

It happened again. Comments have more insight than politically correct article. Robotic cars can unravel big cities that make our life expensive and miserable. They provide a tight network of transportation that is distributed in time and location. There is no need to build services around mass transportation. Robotic taxis are toxic to buses and trains. You don’t even need to own a car, that poor people hate because of the status connected to it.
